Blogger Stephen McAlpine hit the nail on the head with this comment regarding news that the British Broadcasting Corporation has produced a series of films for school children that promote the existence of 100 genders — and that number is growing.
“I’m tempted to just get out the popcorn and sit and watch the train-wreck, but it’s too sad for that,” he wrote. “It’s just a sign of the cultural/intellectual suicide we’re seeing in a society that has no base other than the individuated self.”
Train wreck is right.
The Bible has something to say about this type of nonsense:
Psalm 36:1-2 — “There is no fear of God before their eyes. In their own eyes they flatter themselves too much to detect or hate their sin.”
It seems people are trying to outdo themselves with concocting the most inane “truth” for today.
Proverbs 26:12 — “Do you see a person wise in their own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for them.”
Proverbs 30:12 — “…Those who are pure in their own eyes and yet are not cleansed of their filth.”
Isaiah 5:20-21 — “Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter. Woe to those who are wise in their own eyes and clever in their own sight.”
It really is comical to hear these “woke” people talk in their arrogant haughtiness.
Actress Kate Hudson is famous for uttering this statement about her newborn daughter earlier this year: “We still don’t know what she’s going to identify as.”
Obviously Kate already took a peek under the diaper and determined that it was a she. I guess the real challenge for these progressive parents will be letting “her” decide who “she” will identify as. Hopefully, it’s a homo sapien.
I don’t know how all this will play out, but I tend to agree with Stephen McAlpine, who noted:
“The bodies – whatever gender they deem themselves to be – will start to wash up on our cultural shores at some stage. I just hope there are enough people willing to care for these broken, confused souls.”
As Christians, there will be plenty of work to do when that harvest ripens.
