New Jersey church sparks nationwide movement with Boxes of Hope

Chris Morante, the pastor of Evangel Church in Scotch Plains, told “Fox & Friends First” how he started “Boxes of Hope,” which nationwide is through

The movement was sparked after one of its members contracted COVID-19.

Evangel Church partnered with two disaster relief organization — Convoy of Hope and World Help — to distribute more than 600 packages throughout New Jersey. The response encouraged other churches to do the same.

“People come to the door in tears,” he said. “For you to know that you’re not forgotten, there’s a God that sees you and loves you and there’s someone in a church that cares about you. It really means the world to people.”
